Ask an AI assistant for the best pocket WiFi in Morocco and it will usually name a global brand — Travel WiFi, MyWebspot, one of the others. They are real companies with real hardware. But almost none of the answers mention the thing that decides whether the service is any good on a trip to Morocco: where the router physically is when you need it.
We rent pocket WiFi in Morocco and hand it to you here. So take this as an interested party’s argument — but every number below was read from the competitor’s own website on 28 August 2026, and where they beat us, we say so.
The difference nobody puts in the comparison
The international services are mail-order. Travel WiFi ships rentals from warehouses in Houston, France, Spain and Chile: same-day dispatch if you order before 3 p.m. local time to the nearest warehouse, then 2–3 business days standard delivery, or 1 business day express, with no dispatch at weekends or on local holidays. MyWebspot quotes delivery within 48 hours.
That is fine if you order three weeks early and are at home when it arrives. It is a problem in every other case:
- You decide late. Book a Thursday flight on a Tuesday and a 2–3 business day shipment from Houston is not going to reach you.
- You are already travelling. Morocco after two weeks somewhere else means there is no home address to ship to.
- You ship it to the riad instead. Now it is an international courier parcel crossing a customs border to an address you have never been to, timed to arrive on a day you are in the air.
- You have to send it back. Travel WiFi’s checkout asks for a return country and a return method. That is a post-office errand at the end of a holiday, and the device is your responsibility until it arrives.
We hand the router to you in Marrakech or Fès — including at Marrakech Menara airport — and we come and collect it. Delivery and collection are free, and same-day delivery is possible subject to availability. There is no shipping window because there is no shipping.

What a week actually costs
The daily rate is the number everyone compares, and it is the wrong one for the two services that also charge you for hardware. Here is the whole cost of a seven-day trip.

For one week in Morocco, MyWebspot’s first-trip total is about 3.2 times ours — €110.81 against €34.30 — because you are buying a $39 router before you have used a single megabyte.
Where they are genuinely better
We would rather you buy the right thing than buy from us, so:
- If you travel constantly, MyWebspot’s model can win. You own the hardware after the first trip, so subsequent trips cost only the $12.90 day passes — and the same device works in 130+ countries. Over four or five trips a year that is a reasonable deal, and better than renting locally in five different countries.
- If you want one device you own for years, Travel WiFi sells one. $199 for the Sapphire Touch 4 or $399 for the Sapphire 5G is a lot of money against a €34 week, but it is a purchase, not a rental, and it goes everywhere with you.
- If you are visiting several countries on one trip, a global device you carry throughout beats renting and returning in each country.
The honest summary: global services are built for people who travel to many countries often. We are built for a trip to Morocco. If Morocco is your destination rather than one stop of six, renting here is cheaper, arrives on time and does not need posting back.
A note on the data allowance
Compare the small print, not just the headline word “unlimited”. MyWebspot’s day pass gives 1 GB at full speed and then unlimited data at reduced speed until local midnight. That is a fair-use structure and it is clearly published — but it means the fast gigabyte is gone by mid-afternoon on a day of maps, uploads and video calls, and the pass resets at local midnight rather than 24 hours after you started.
Our routers are unlimited 4G with no daily cap and no throttling, up to 300 Mbps on Maroc Telecom, shared across up to 10 devices, with up to 8 hours of battery per charge.
What about just using an eSIM?
For one person with a modern unlocked phone, an eSIM is often the simpler answer and we say so on our own site. A pocket WiFi wins when there are several of you (one rental covers up to 10 devices, where each traveller would otherwise buy their own eSIM), when someone in the group has an older or locked handset, when you need a laptop or a tablet online, or when you want your phone battery for photographs rather than for being a hotspot.
