Pocket WiFi at Marrakech Menara Airport

We hand the router over at Marrakech Menara airport for €4.90 per device, per day,
VAT included.
Delivery and collection are free, there is no airport surcharge, and
you are connected before you have found the taxi rank. About a third of our hand-overs
happen at the airport, so this is a well-worn route.

What it costs

One flat rate per router, per day, whether you collect at the airport or we bring it to
your riad. The price does not change with how many people connect or how much data you use.

Total price for one router by length of stay: €4.90 a day, VAT included, the same at the airport or your riad
Length of stay Total
2 days (minimum) €9.80
3 days €14.70
5 days €24.50
7 days €34.30
10 days €49.00
14 days €68.60

A €50 deposit is held at booking and released when the router comes back
in good condition. Staying three weeks or more, or want three or more routers? Email
contact@pocketwifimorocco.com and ask for a long-stay price rather than multiplying the daily rate.

How the hand-over actually works

You give us your flight number and landing time when you book. We meet you in arrivals
after you clear customs, hand over the router already switched on and connected, and show
you the network name and password. It takes about two minutes. There is nothing to install
and no Moroccan paperwork to fill in.

If your flight is delayed

Give us the flight number rather than only the time. Delays are the normal case, not the
exception, and a flight number is the one thing that lets us track the arrival and be there
when you actually land rather than when you were scheduled to. If your flight is diverted or
you miss it altogether, message us on WhatsApp and we will move the booking rather than
charge you for a day you never used.

One honest limit: hand-overs run 08:00 to 20:00. If you land at 01:00,
we cannot meet you in the middle of the night. The usual answer is to have the router
delivered to your hotel or riad the next morning at no extra cost — you lose the first
night, which is normally the night you sleep.

Giving it back

The reverse of the hand-over: we meet you at the airport before your flight out, or we
collect from your accommodation the morning you leave. Both are free. Return it in good
condition and the €50 deposit is released automatically.

Airport SIM counter, eSIM, or a router?

All three work. Which one is right depends on your group, and it is worth thirty seconds
before you queue at a counter.

Airport SIM counter, eSIM or pocket WiFi router: the usual best choice for each kind of traveller
If you are… Usually the best option
Alone with one phone An eSIM — nothing to collect or return. eSIM Maroc does Morocco-specific data plans from €6 for a day and €24 for a week, 1 GB per day at full speed then 512 Kbps for the rest of the day.
Two or more people The router — one €4.90 a day covers everyone instead of a plan each
Carrying a laptop or tablet too The router — up to 10 devices on one connection
Needing a Moroccan phone number A local SIM — neither a router nor a data eSIM gives you a number

Where it works once you leave the airport

The router runs on Maroc Telecom 4G, so it works wherever that network reaches —
Marrakech, the coast, the main roads, and the towns on the way to the desert. Coverage in
the High Atlas and the deep Sahara is patchy for every Moroccan network, ours included, and
we would rather say so than promise a signal in a dune field. We hand the device over in
Marrakech; where you take it afterwards is up to you.

Questions people ask

Is there an extra charge for airport delivery? No. Delivery and
collection are free, at the airport or anywhere in Marrakech.

Can I book on the day I fly? Same-day is possible subject to
availability, but the routers are a finite pool in high season. Booking a day or two ahead
is the difference between a certainty and a maybe.

What if I only need it for one day? The minimum rental is two days
(€9.80). For a single day an eSIM will cost you less.

Do I need to install anything? No. It is a Wi-Fi network like any
other — connect your phone to it with the password we give you.

How long does the battery last? Up to 8 hours per charge. A power bank
is €1.90 a day if you want a full day out without hunting for a socket.
