**Most Agafay camps advertise WiFi, but the desert has far fewer masts than the city.** We count 29 Maroc Telecom 4G cells within 10 km of the camps area, against about 1,970 around central Marrakech. Camp WiFi can work well near the main tent and fade further out. If you need to stay reachable, bring your own connection and test it on arrival.

## Is there 4G in Agafay?

Yes, in places. Agafay is a stony plateau with few homes, so masts are spread out, and hills can block a line of sight. These counts come from open data measured up to 2024, so they show density and not a live signal.

## Do Agafay camps have WiFi?

Many do. Booking listings for camps such as Selina Nomad Camp and Kal Tenere show free WiFi, and one lists 250+ Mbps in rooms, another 25+ Mbps. These are listing claims that we have not tested, and they may be out of date. Ask three questions before you book: does WiFi reach the tents or only the main area, is it a fibre line or a mobile link, and what happens when the camp is full?

- Put the router high up and near an opening: tents and hills both matter.
