# WiFi in the Palmeraie, Marrakech: Villas and Resorts

> WiFi in the Marrakech Palmeraie: 4G cell counts, why villa and resort WiFi can fade, and a private router for your whole group.

Published: 2026-10-31

The short answer

**The Palmeraie is well covered: we count 1,831 Maroc Telecom 4G cells within 10 km of its centre.** The weak spot is usually inside. Resorts and villas spread over large grounds, so one WiFi line can fade by the pool or in a far bedroom. A pocket WiFi gives your group a private network you can carry to wherever you are sitting.

This guide is for families and groups staying in a Palmeraie resort, villa or golf hotel, a few kilometres from the medina.

**1,831**Maroc Telecom 4G cells within 10 km of the Palmeraie

**652**of them within 5 km

**4**within 1 km, as homes here are spread out

The large number comes from the city nearby. Only 4 cells sit within 1 km of our point, far fewer than the 230 around central Guéliz, because the Palmeraie is low-density and leafy. So signal is generally good, but it varies more than in town, and thick villa walls still matter.

## Why resort WiFi can disappoint

- **Size.** A villa or resort covers a lot of ground, and one router rarely reaches the pool and the far rooms.

- **Sharing.** On a full weekend, everyone streams at the same time in the evening.

- **Sign-in.** Some resorts limit devices per room, which is awkward for a family.

Check these with your hotel or host, because conditions differ. Our guide to [WiFi in Marrakech riads](https://pocketwifimorocco.com/riad-wifi-marrakech/) covers similar questions in the medina.

## Where it helps most

- By the pool, where the villa WiFi fades.

- Streaming for the children, while adults work on a laptop.

- In the car to the medina or the airport, with maps for the driver.

- On a golf day or a day trip, since it runs on a battery.
