# WiFi for Events in Marrakech: Weddings, Seminars, Festivals

> Pocket WiFi for the team behind a wedding, seminar or festival stall in Marrakech: what it is good for, what it is not, costs and delivery on event day.

Published: 2026-09-30

The short answer

**A pocket WiFi router is the right tool for the people running an event in Marrakech, not for giving two hundred guests WiFi.** Each router connects 10 devices on unlimited 4G for €4.90 a day. The planner’s team, the photographers uploading, the check-in tablets and the card terminal each get a connection that does not depend on the venue’s WiFi. We deliver to your hotel, riad or villa in Marrakech and collect afterwards.

Marrakech hosts a steady calendar of weddings, seminars, conferences, product launches and festivals. Almost every one of them runs into the same moment: the venue WiFi that looked fine on the site visit slows to nothing once the room fills, and the people who actually need to work (the planner, the photographer, the person at the welcome desk) are fighting the guests for the same connection.

This page is for whoever organises the event. It sets out what a router is good for, what it is not good for, what it costs, and how to plan delivery around an event day.

**10 devices**per router, at the same time

**€4.90**per router per day, VAT included

**Unlimited**no cap, no throttling

**08:00–20:00**delivery every day in Marrakech

## What a router is good for at an event

#### The team behind the event

- A wedding planner and assistants coordinating suppliers on WhatsApp all day

- Photographers and videographers sending previews or backing up to the cloud

- Welcome-desk tablets checking guests in against an online list

- Card terminals and tablet tills that take payment over WiFi

#### A backup the event does not depend on

- The presenter’s laptop at a seminar, kept off the shared hotel network

- A second connection if the venue line drops mid-programme

- A mobile connection that moves with the team between the ceremony, the dinner and the after-party

## What it is not good for

Be clear about the scale

**Guest WiFi for a hundred people.** One router takes 10 devices. Covering a whole wedding party or conference hall means dozens of routers, and a venue network or a specialist event-WiFi supplier is the better answer for that.

**A packed festival crowd.** When thousands of phones share the same masts, the mobile network slows down for everyone. The router uses the same Maroc Telecom 4G network, so it slows too. It helps your team, but it does not lift you above the crowd.

**A broadcast you cannot afford to lose.** Streaming a ceremony from one phone to family at home generally works on a good 4G signal, but test it at the venue, at the same time of day, before you promise it to anyone.

## What it costs for a typical event

Our published rate of €4.90 per router per day, VAT included; minimum rental 2 days. Delivery and collection in Marrakech are free. Each router carries a €50 deposit that is pre-authorised on your card, not taken, and released when it comes back.

| Event | Who is connected | Routers | Days | Total |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Wedding weekend** | Planner team, plus photo and video | 2 | 3 | €29.40 |
| **Two-day seminar** | Organisers, presenters, welcome desk | 3 | 2 | €29.40 |
| **Festival or market stall** | Card terminal, tablet till, staff phones | 1 | 4 | €19.60 |
| **Conference team** | Staff laptops and phones across two rooms | 4 | 3 | €58.80 |

Three routers or more

The table uses the public rate. For three or more routers, email [contact@pocketwifimorocco.com](mailto:contact@pocketwifimorocco.com) with the event dates, the venue and the number of routers before booking, and we will quote you directly.

## Planning delivery around an event day

- **Count devices per team, not per person.** A photographer with a phone and a laptop is two. Ten devices per router, and one router per team that works in a different place.

- **Have it delivered the day before.** Delivery runs every day from 08:00 to 20:00 in Marrakech (09:00–15:30 during Ramadan). Taking it the evening before gives you time to test at the venue and to charge a power bank.

- **Test at the venue, at the event hour.** Walk the room, the terrace and the garden with the router switched on. Signal inside thick-walled riads and palaces varies from one room to the next.

- **Plan the battery.** Up to 8 hours per charge. For a long event day, add a power bank (€1.90 a day) or keep the router on USB power.

- **Choose the collection address.** It can be different from the delivery address, as long as both are in Marrakech, so we can collect from the hotel the morning after.

## Venues outside the city

We hand routers over and collect them in Marrakech: hotels, riads, villas, Airbnbs and Menara airport. For a venue outside the city, such as a desert camp in Agafay or a lodge in the Ourika valley, take delivery at your hotel in town before you go. The router works wherever Maroc Telecom 4G reaches:

- **Agafay:** at a point in the Agafay area our map counts about 25 Maroc Telecom 4G cells within 10 km, with the nearest recorded 4G area around 4 km away. Usable in many places, but camps are spread out, so test at yours.

- **Ourika valley:** 6 Maroc Telecom cells within 10 km, which we rate patchy: enough for maps and WhatsApp in the villages.

- **Essaouira:** 110 cells within 10 km, strong. Collect the router in Marrakech before you drive over.

## Frequently asked questions

Can I rent WiFi for an event in Marrakech?

Yes. Pocket WiFi routers are €4.90 per router per day with unlimited 4G, up to 10 devices each, delivered free to your hotel, riad or villa in Marrakech and collected afterwards. For three or more routers, email us first for a quote.

Can a pocket WiFi provide guest WiFi for a wedding?

Only for a small party. One router connects 10 devices, so it suits the planner, the photographers and the family table rather than a hundred guests. For guest WiFi at scale, a venue network or a specialist event-WiFi supplier is the better choice.

Will it work at a crowded festival?

It works, but it shares the Maroc Telecom 4G network with every phone around you, so in a dense crowd it slows down like everyone else’s connection. It is most useful for a stall, a team or a card terminal, not as a way around crowd congestion.

Can you deliver to a venue in Agafay?

We hand routers over and collect them in Marrakech, including hotels, riads, villas and the airport. For a camp in Agafay, take delivery at your hotel in Marrakech before you go; the router works there wherever Maroc Telecom 4G reaches, so test at your camp.

How far in advance should we book for an event?

Book as soon as your dates are fixed, and plan delivery for the day before the event so you can test at the venue. For three or more routers, email contact@pocketwifimorocco.com first so we can confirm availability and quote.

Coverage figures are Maroc Telecom 4G cells recorded within 10 km in the Mozilla Location Service export (2015–2024), as published on our [coverage map](https://pocketwifimorocco.com/pocket-wifi-morocco-coverage/); the Agafay figure is for a point at 31.44°N, 8.18°W and is approximate by a few kilometres. All three networks have added masts since. Prices are our own published rates on 30 September 2026. See the [pricing page](https://pocketwifimorocco.com/pricing/) for the current rate.
